Ann and Eric Walker
We signed a contract with Solista on May 22. 2025. We were moving from a 2460 square foot home to a 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living and dining area with a small kitchen area. We also have a one car garage. This cottage was what we had been looking for and praying for 3 years at least with our physical disabilities. Thanks to our friend and church member, Norma Snipes, who referred us to Solista and the most hospitable and wonderful staff member, Executive Assistant Director, Angie Holman. She basically sold us on this cottage after giving us a tour. It’s has taken this long to write this review because of our disabilities, packing and unpacking, and learning the in and outs of the community. We haven’t leased anything in 40 or more years. We are trying to get the lunch and dinner menus and schedules straight, our cleaning schedules, and garbage pickup. Our real problem though is a “big red container” with the words in white capital letters, “KLINE” which sits across from my front door and kitchen window. Every time I go out my front door or open my blinds in my kitchen to make a cup of coffee, this is my scenery every day instead of the green trees behind it. When making the turn to these beautiful cottages, the red container is right there blocking the beauty of this property along with dumpsters beside it. I was told when we first got here that it would be moved in 2 weeks. I’m now being told as of September 9th that the owners are the only ones that can move it. This has pushed me to write this review in hopes that the owners can see what an eyesore it has become. It is not only an eyesore to me; but, the whole Solista community. Please find another way to store whatever you are storing inside this container so our community doesn’t look like rubbish. What do you like most about living here?
