Overview of The Legacy at Cimarron

Owned by Lac Tenant LLC, The Legacy at Cimarron is a 110-bed assisted living and memory care community in Northwest El Paso, Texas. Lifewell Senior Living manages the community, with Executive Director Jacob Boggs serving as administrator. The two-story building offers studio and one-bedroom housing options. It has been operating for 9 years.

Memory care is a central part of the community rather than an added service. The Legacy at Cimarron holds an Alzheimer’s certification and offers its Connections program for residents living with memory loss. The program follows what the community calls its 7 Pillars of Memory Care. These include choice-based living, thoughtful dining, personalized care, and ongoing partnerships with residents’ families, among other areas. About 30 of the community’s 110 beds are dedicated Alzheimer’s units, so memory care has its own defined space within the larger community.

Transportation services and organized fitness and recreation programs are available for residents. Pets are allowed in the community. The car-dependent area has a Walk Score of 14, so most errands and outings require driving.

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission inspects the community as part of its regular oversight of assisted living communities. Past reviews have focused on abuse-reporting procedures and safe oxygen storage practices. The community has had to address these areas as part of its standard compliance work.

Families considering memory care may ask about current staff-to-resident ratios during a tour. Overall, The Legacy at Cimarron is a mid-sized community with a strong focus on memory care. Its named memory care program and dedicated Alzheimer’s units provide a clear setting for cognitive care within the larger assisted living community.

The Legacy at Cimarron Reviews

Randy Gartz
My mother stayed at the Legacy for quite some time, never wanting to go anywhere else. The people of the Legacy are truthfully angels in every sense. They took care of all of my mother's needs in a caring manner as if she was family. Better than my sister or I could have ever cared for her. From her lucid days to the time when she never knew anything going on around her, they cared for her as if she did know. The Legacy works from the top of management down, all caring loving people working for the benefit our our parents.
