In Mexico, Missouri, Pin Oaks Living Center keeps a doctor on staff and medical care available at every hour. When a resident’s condition shifts at 2 o’clock in the morning, the important question is whether anyone there can do something about it, and that question will not wait for office hours.
The center holds 124 beds. Nursing time reaches 4 hours and 26 minutes per resident, per day; an average spread over all of them.
Hospice care is available to residents who need it, and rehabilitation services are part of the care offered too. Transportation is arranged through the center, so a standing appointment outside does not have to depend on which relative of a resident has free time that day.
