Roxborough Home for Women Reviews

Athenae Evans (Administrator)
What truly sets Roxborough Home for Women apart is our legacy of care. Since 1887, we have been serving women with dignity, compassion, and respect in a nurturing, homelike environment. For nearly 140 years, our mission has remained the same: to provide high-quality personal care services while preserving each resident's independence, individuality, and sense of belonging. Unlike many senior living communities, we are a personal care home not an assisted living facility. Our residents remain as independent as possible, and our dedicated staff is here to provide support whenever it is needed. We offer private rooms, home-cooked meals, medication management, laundry services, light housekeeping, and assistance with daily personal care, all within a warm and welcoming community. What our residents often appreciate most is that Roxborough Home for Women truly feels like home. Relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Our caring staff and dedicated volunteers create meaningful opportunities for companionship, activities, celebration, and connection. We believe every woman who walks through our doors is a unique and valued member of our family, and that philosophy extends to our staff, volunteers, and the broader community as well. Our commitment to treating every individual with dignity while fostering independence has been the foundation of our mission since 1887. That enduring legacy continues to guide us today, making Roxborough Home for Women not simply a place to live, but a place where women are known, supported, and genuinely cared for.
