Continuing Care at Lantern Hill offers independent living, assisted living, memory care and nursing home care in New Providence, NJ. Independent living gives residents private living with community services and no daily care, while assisted living includes help with daily tasks such as dressing, bathing and medication. Memory care provides a secured setting with supervision for someone at risk of wandering. Nursing home care provides licensed nursing care on site around the clock.
The range of care levels can support a resident whose needs grow over time without requiring a move to another community. The community has 40 beds. Total nurse staffing is 6 hours and 25 minutes per resident per day, meaning that amount of nursing time is assigned to each resident each day. Rehabilitation services are available, so residents can receive therapy on site without arranging transportation elsewhere.
Residents have several ways to stay active. A fitness center, aquatics facilities and outdoor walking routes provide places to exercise on site. Dining venues are available, with select meals included in the Monthly Service Package, and pets are allowed. The area has a Walk Score of 63 and is somewhat walkable, so some errands can be completed on foot and a resident who no longer drives may be able to get out independently for certain trips.
Medicare and private pay are accepted. Arvid Agosto serves as administrator, and Lantern Hill operates the community.
